It's June! Let's celebrate Men's Health month. We've got the scoop on the the latest athlete to release his very own Athletic Wear line. Here's a few hints--he isn't American, his sport can be played indoors or outdoors (though he plays outdoors) and he's known to workout literally 3 hours or more per day. Give up? It's Zlatan Ibrahimović the Swedish soccer player. He's teamed up with Varner Group a Norwegian retailer who is a leader in textile trade.
Ibrahimović believes in comfortable and well cut workout wear that focuses on the "training" market. Tracksuits are part of the package, as Ibrahimović himself is partial to hoodies, shorts and tee-shirts. Expect similar items to his own attire and include underwear in the equation.
Though he has not elaborated on how much he expects to make he did allude to future brand extensions including a Women's collection. Additionally, there will be a roll-out beyond Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Germany, Holland, France, the UK, Austria. Spain and Italy.
The 70-sku range for men and children went on sale Tuesday on a dedicated website, delivering to 11 European countries. Retail prices range from 9.95 euros, or $11.30 at current exchange, for socks to 89.95 euros, or $102.10, for a zippered jacket- *excerpt from WWD.com
