The recent 2015 Summer Fancy Food Show was quite a whirlwind. Touted as the largest marketplace devoted exclusively to specialty foods and beverages in North America, this the inaugural presentation by The Editor's Showcase was held at Jacob Javitz Center in New York City on June 28-30.
The Editor's Showcase displayed wares from superstar brands. Dave's Gourmet, actually had Dave Hirschkopf himself manning the booth and Brownie Brittle had its Founder Sheila Mains generously sharing samples. There were also newer burgeoning brands like Vermont Signature Sauces and Just Hemp.
While many items were specialty gourmet foods that ranged from meat, to cheeese to sauces, A-List Diet & Fitness, as always, sought out primarily dairy-free, gluten-free or vegan foods--not surprisingly we found several valuable products. Standouts included: Peanut Butter & Co.'s Powdered Peanut Butter, Forte High Protein Gelato, Dave's Gourmet (Sauce & Hot Sauces), Way Better Snacks, Just Hemp, and Sundried Tomato Ketchup by Traina to name a few.
Overall, the 2015 Summer Fancy Food Show offered 2,600 exhibiting companies. The trade-only event featured the U.S. Pavillions of Brooklyn (Goes Global), Kansas, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, Virginia, The Carolinas, Southern US Trade Association, Pennsylvania and Vermot-pas well as foods from 25+ International countries.
